The Longfin Blue Eye Lemon Bristlenose Pleco, as the train of adjectives would suggest, is a stunning breed of Bristlenose Pleco selectively bred to display long fins, a light yellowish body, and striking blue eyes. The eponymous nose bristles don't appear on juvenile fish, only growing in as the fish reaches sexual maturity, with the males displaying them to a much greater degree.
Care
As with other Bristlenose Plecos, this variety grows to a much more manageable size of 6" than common plecos which grow to well over a foot long. They are hardy, peaceful, and safe with live plants, making a great option for algae control in moderate sized tanks of 30 gallons or more. They may be kept in small groups, though males can be slightly territorial with members of their own species.
Diet
Bristlenose Plecos, juveniles especially, primarily consume algae found in the aquarium. As they approach adulthood, they become more omnivorous and will consume uneaten food off the aquarium floor. If there is insufficient algae present, it's recommended to offer them Algae Wafers or zucchini slices.
