Blastomussa corals are an underrated group of LPS corals that encrust slightly raised over the rockwork with very densely packed polyps and a distinctive bumpy ridged skirt around the mouth. Blasto corals prefer low light and moderate flow and come in many color varieties, making them a perfect beginner LPS. Like other LPS corals, they benefit from occasional spot feeding, but will also pull particulate food from the water column.
