Lamarck's Angelfish, also known as the Freckletail Lyretail Angelfish, are one of only a few large angelfish that can be safely kept in a reef tank. They're a sexually dimorphic species, both displaying a white background with horizontal stripes covering the body and a spotted pattern on the tail. The female is distinguished by her thicker striped patterning.
Lamarck's Angelfish are a relatively large species, growing to an adult size of 9", and should be kept in an aquarium of 125 gallons or more. They're known for being peaceful and reef safe, but shouldn't be kept with members of their own species.
Lamarck's Angelfish should be offered a varied diet rich in vegetable matter like spirulina and nori as well as meaty frozen foods.
