Fluval Stratum is a premium substrate collected from the mineral-rich foothills of Mount Aso Volcano in Japan, designed for planted aquariums and shrimp tanks. Its nutrient-rich, porous structure promotes strong plant growth and provides an ideal environment for beneficial nitrifying bacteria. Newborn shrimp can find refuge within the substrate until they are ready to explore the tank. Fluval Stratum helps maintain neutral to slightly acidic pH levels and does not discolor water, even in tanks with natural driftwood.
