The Bronze Cory is a popular and attractive cory catfish native to South America, ranging as far north as Colombia to as far south as Argentina. This color variation gets its name from the deep bronze coloration found on the head and armored sides of the body, though green and albino variations are also common in the hobby.

Bronze Cories grow to a size of 2.5", and can be kept in tanks as small as 10 gallons. They're a gregarious species, and prefer to be kept in groups of 5 or more. Cories are a bottom dwelling fish, and require a soft sandy substrate, as rough substrate or gravel can damage their sensitive barbels and cause infection.

Bronze Cories are omnivorous, and will readily accept most prepared foods. Care should be taken to ensure enough food makes it to the substrate for these bottom dwelling fish to feed on.
