The Tail Spot Blenny is a small but charming blenny that would make a great choice for nano aquariums. Their bodies are brownish to dull maroon, with sharply defined horizontal black, white, and orange lines below the eyes. Just before the tail fin, there's a false eye spot which gives this species its name.
Care
Tail Spot Blennies grow to 2.5 inches long, and may be kept in aquariums of 10 gallons or larger. They'll often be found with their heads poking out of their favorite crevice in the rock, but will occasionally venture out when they feel comfortable. They're a peaceful species, and shouldn't be kept with more aggressive bottom feeding fish, as they may get bullied.
Diet
Tailspot Blennies are mostly herbivorous, and should be provided with plenty of rockwork for grazing, as well as prepared foods that contain vegetable matter. They'll also readily accept meaty frozen foods.
