Congo Tetras are a beautiful species of tetra native to Central Africa. Immature fish are often looked over for their dull coloration and uninteresting profile, but adult fish display a truly stunning iridescent rainbow of colors that constantly change with light and angle along with long, flowing fins perfectly outlined in white.
The Congo Tetra is a large tetra that grows to about 3". As a schooling fish, it should be kept in groups of 5 or more in a peaceful community tank. They can be shy with more bold species, so it's important that they be the largest and most dominant species in the aquarium.
Congo Tetras will accept small flake and pellet foods, but will thrive on frozen or live options like brine shrimp.
