Key Features:

1. Vibrant Red Elegance: The Ruby Red Dragonet showcases an array of striking red tones with spashes of golden yellow on the pectoral fins, creating a mesmerizing and elegant appearance. Its vibrant coloration adds a regal touch to your aquarium, making it a captivating centerpiece.

2. Recommended Tank Size: To ensure their well-being and room for their unhurried movements, a tank size of at least 30 gallons (114 liters) is recommended, however, they will fare much better in a larger system of 100 gallons or more, which allows them ample room for pod grazing.

They coexist harmoniously with corals and other invertebrates, contributing to the serenity and visual appeal of your marine setup.

4. Difficult Care Level: Best suited for aquarists with experience in marine fishkeeping, Ruby Red Dragonets require a specialized diet of live copepods, which are naturally found in large, mature tanks. However, they may be supplemented with bottled copepods in smaller tanks.

5. Moderate Size and Graceful Presence: Typically growing to lengths of 3 inches (7.6 cm), these dragonets exhibit a graceful and manageable presence within various marine setups.

Care Instructions:

  • Feeding: Ruby Red Dragonets are carnivorous and thrive on a diet of live  copepods, and may accept small frozen foods.

  • Compatibility: These dragonets are generally peaceful and can coexist with various marine fish, making them a versatile addition to your aquarium community.
