Multicolor Angel: Vibrant Beauty for Your Marine Aquarium

Introducing the Multicolor Angel, a stunning addition to any marine aquarium with its vibrant hues and graceful demeanor. Known for its striking coloration and peaceful temperament, this angel fish brings a splash of brilliance to reef tanks and mixed-species setups alike.

Key Features:

1. Vibrant Coloration: The Multicolor Angel boasts a dazzling array of colors, including vibrant white over the majority of the body, yellows and oranges on the belly, and deep blues on the head and fins.

2. Semi-Aggressive: As with other dwarf angels, the multicolor angel is considered semi-aggressive, and may be territorial, especially in smaller tanks. They should not be kept with conspecifics or other dwarf angels.

3. Medium Difficulty: Multicolor Angels are considered medium difficulty fish, as they may be finicky eaters when first introduced to an aquarium. Once established, they are generally very hardy.

4. Reef-Safe With Caution: Unlike some other angelfish species, the Multicolor Angel is considered reef-safe with caution, and may or may not nip at corals depending on the individual.

Care Instructions:

  • Difficulty Level: Intermediate. The Multicolor Angel requires a stable marine environment and attentive care to thrive. It is best suited for aquarists with some experience in keeping marine fish.

  • Aquarium Size: Provide a spacious aquarium of at least 50 gallons to accommodate the Multicolor Angel. Ensure ample swimming space and provide plenty of live rock formations and hiding spots to mimic its natural habitat.

  • Water Parameters: Maintain stable water conditions with a temperature range of 72-78°F (22-26°C), pH level of 8.1-8.4, and salinity of 1.020-1.025. Regular water changes and efficient filtration are essential for promoting optimal health and vitality.

  • Feeding: Offer a varied diet consisting of high-quality marine flakes, pellets, and frozen foods. Supplement their diet with fresh or frozen meaty foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and chopped seafood to provide essential nutrients and maintain vibrant coloration.

Maximum Size: The Multicolor Angel typically reaches a maximum size of approximately 4 inches (10 cm) in length.
