Morse Code Maroon Clownfish are a variation of the common white stripe Maroon Clownfish, but with a unique and randomized pattern of white dots and horizontal dashes, reminiscent of the patterns found in Morse code. The original specimens with these unique patters were collected in Papua New Guinea, and the trait has since been selectively bred for in captivity.

Care

Goldflake Maroon clownfish grow to a maximum size of about 6" for females, and slightly smaller for males. They're a highly territorial species, and generally won't swim too far from their chosen rock or anemone, making them suitable for smaller tanks despite their size. However, aggression may be more of an issue, as it will be harder for other fish to get out of their territory. Like most clowns, once established, Maroon Clowns are very durable fish with long lifespans, and make great beginner fish.

Diet

Clownfish typically aren't picky eaters, and will readily accept frozen, flake, or pellet foods.
