The IceCap CO2 Scrubber is designed to help reef aquariums maintain an optimal pH of around 8.3 by removing excess carbon dioxide from the air intake of your protein skimmer. High CO2 levels in homes can suppress aquarium pH, slowing coral growth and nutrient uptake. The CO2 scrubber is simple to install: connect the tubing from your skimmer to the scrubber, fill the reactor with CO2 adsorption media, and monitor pH levels. As the media becomes depleted (often indicated by a color change), it should be replaced. Using a CO2 scrubber helps maintain stable pH, promoting faster coral growth and better overall reef health.
