Green Chromis are a commonly recommended beginner fish for people seeking a brightly colored, easy, affordable schooling species. Unfortunately, despite their otherwise peaceful demeanor for a damsel, this often results in aggression towards smaller, less dominant individuals until the school is whittled down to a couple fish. It's generally recommended to add 6 or more to a larger tank to help spread out the aggression.
Care
Green Chromis can grow up to 4" long, and are considered very easy to care for. A single individual can be kept in a 30gal, but to see them at their most impressive, a group of 6 or more in a larger tank is recommended.
Diet
Green Chromis aren't finicky eaters, and will readily accept most frozen or prepared foods.
