XPort Bio Blocks are ultra-porous ceramic filtration media designed for superior biological filtration in both marine and hard freshwater aquariums with a pH of 7.5 or higher. Engineered to provide the highest usable surface area of any filtration medium, XPort Bio Blocks offer vast aerobic and anaerobic spaces for bacterial colonization, efficiently reducing toxic ammonia and nitrites to near zero while also lowering phosphates and dissolved organics. Doped with aragonite, these blocks buffer pH at the bacteria level to prevent acid buildup and maintain optimal bacterial health. XPort Bio Blocks can serve as the primary filtration medium or be used alongside other media for enhanced results.
