Hammers and Frogspawn corals are both members of the Euphylliidae family and are commonly referred to as branching or branching hammer corals. While they share similarities, they also have distinct characteristics that set them apart. Frogspawn usually have multiple colored ends per tentacle, whereas hammers only have one. Hammers can also be differentiated by their wide curved ends, which resemble a hammer. Both thrive under moderate lighting and flow, and benefit from occasional feeding.
