Margarita Snails are an excellent choice for a reef aquarium clean up crew. They're almost purely black, with their shells forming a rounded cone shape. For their size, they make excellent film algae eaters, and will tirelessly work to keep your rock and glass clean.

Care

Margarita Snails grow to about 1". Unlike many snails commonly found in the hobby, Margarita Snails generally thrive in temperatures slightly lower than common reef conditions. They are adaptable to 78° where most aquarists keep their tanks, but the increased temperature will result in a higher metabolism, and shorter life-span. Like all inverts, they cannot tolerate copper, and are sensitive to sudden changes in parameters, so a drip acclimation is important.

Diet

Margarita Snails spend their days consuming film algae in the aquarium. They do not require supplemental feeding when stocked properly.
